Two questions every student asks near the end of a course: "what's my grade right now?" and "what do I need on the final?" This calculator answers both. What-if calculator FAQ
What do I need on my final to get an A?
Use "What do I need?" mode: enter your current grade, the final's weight, and your target. The formula is needed = (target − current × (1 − finalWeight)) ÷ finalWeight. If the result is above 100%, an A isn't reachable from the final alone.
How do I calculate my weighted grade?
Multiply each assessment's percentage by its weight, add them up, and divide by the total weight. "Project my whole grade" mode does this live as you add each assessment.
How much is my final worth?
Check your syllabus — finals are often 20–40% of the course grade. Enter that as the final's weight to see exactly how much it can move your mark.
Can I still pass if I fail the final?
Set your target to your passing mark. If the required score comes out at or below 0%, you've already secured the pass; if it's higher than you can score, you'd need other marks to change. The verdict tells you which.
Is this the same as the what-if calculator in Level Up Classroom?
